Fisher Custom 40 Mono Tuner

     This is a totally rebuilt, 1957 Fisher Customer 40 tubed tuner. A vintage wooden cabinet is included. It went from the original owner to a Tech with nearly 40 years of experience with rebuilding vintage tubed equipment. I was told that it had light use, as the original tubes still tested strong, and met specifications. The dial and knobs are original, has a beautiful dial, including the graphics. It lights up very bright, and can be seen from a distance!

I have owned a couple dozen fine vintage tubed tuners in the last 50 years. This one sounds the best to me. Rich, natural detail with a deep tone, seldom heard in tuners. I am including a "splitter" interconnect, so that sound comes out of both speakers. Of course, it can also be heard in natural Mono with a standard rca interconnect. The sound will only come out of one channel.

This tuner is reluctantly going for sale, as I am in my mid-70's and need to down size! I can include a simple strip antenna if you do not have an antenna. Place the antenna near a window and this tuner has nice selectivity.
