That's the best looking Platine Verdier I have ever seen! It should give you much pleasure for a long time. Please post more photos when you can.

Lawrence, did you have the arm set-up by analog tech or did you do it yourself ?
What do you have it tracking at ?
thx

Hi Lapierre, after almost hit 200 hours of burn-in of the CD9, I sold the PD finally...

lawence_carpio

Congrats on the new acquisition.

You keeping the PD component?

lapierre

Owner
The Reference CD9 is here, using a external DVD player that connected a coaxial digital output to the R9's digital in,breaking in is long road........

lawence_carpio

Owner
I use it as a CD player only, I knew it is kind of wasted without using it's DSD playback, however I was impressed already by its upsamplings all CD to DSD sounding.

I'm greedy and have ordered the CD9, should be here in 2 weeks times, will then have a head to head comparison :)

lawence_carpio

How is it better than the Playback Design unit you have? Are you utilizing the DSD upsample and DSD files via computer and usb on the PD? Or do you want the synergy of an all Audio Research rig?

System edited: New added acoustic treatment at the back wall, huge improvement !

lawence_carpio

Wow. I've watched your room go through all the changes. It looks so cool now. All the top arc gear and the wall paper is warm and adds character. Really really cool room. You have put a lot of energy making it all happen. Congratulations. Top notch.

The playback MPS3 truly a amazing piece of equipment, very high resolution, hyper details yet very musical, althought it had just played 200 hrs, I believe it will keep improving!

lawence_carpio

Ordered a new Playback Designs MPS-3 cd player, will be here in 3 weeks later :)

lawence_carpio

Congrats Lawrence.

Spin the Yellowjackets.

lapierre

I love that you have an all USA system. I almost do. All but the Vincent amp. Thought about that alot before buying it but the Vincent fit the budget etc the best.

ps Huge Patricia Barber fan too. Have all her stuff on SACD, and may sell much of it now that I have the Olive. Have Cafe Blue on MFSL SACD too, crazy good.
