Nicely mounted screen; do you have any of your wall paint left? A small brush, a bit of paint, and five minutes is all it would take to make that HDMI and power cord disappear.

I think it is the front vs rear port, the size of my room and
the larger than normal monitor cabinets of the 6.5t giving good
bass response and PRAT. :)

The mini lores were good but more refined. 6.5t are livelier.
Both are very well made...

Interesting that you went back to the 6.5's. I've never heard either speaker, but I have always been interested in Tekton's products. What is it about the 6.5's that you prefer?

That looks nice. I had my eye on this very nice heavy duty rack from Home Goods but wouldn't exactly fit the bill as I would need to get a whole slew of longer interconnects as it was 6' wide...I opted for 2 low/wide IKEA Lack racks that I will reinforce and stack on each other to give me all the flexibility that I'm looking for...hope it looks good when I'm done with it :)

Hi Lou,

Unfortunately, Lansford Park might not make it any more. It was reasonably priced and not that well made or packaged as I had to send the first one back after shipping damage and the second one was damaged also. They reduced the price in order to have the second shipped one repaired. Overall, I am really happy with the cabinet after I customized it (cutout to allow my turntable wall rack arms come through the back) and reinforced it with extra black wood screws and brackets.

Hi, I really like your audio rack. Where did you get it? I'm looking for a similar sized rack and configuration and it looks very well made. Ah, it's a pity that they are no longer made. The stands one tends to see these days look so ... massive--antitheses of what I'm looking for. I am/was hoping to find something strong and rigid, yet seems to visually disappear--you know, something like your stands. But you've given me some great ideas about how I might be able to make my SolidSteel stands work for me after all--if they're tall enough, that is. Thanks so much!

One more question: Your speaker cabinets are MDF (particle board), aren't they? Did you have any hesitation about putting lag screws into MDF?

@Rx7audio, unfortunately, they do not make these stands anymore. They were made to fit Linn Tukans and they worked well with my Tektons. I put lag screws through the top of the stands and into the base of the speakers. I also used marble wine coolers with rubber protectors on the bottom from Crate and Barrel filled with river stones. They rest on porcelain slabs cross-wise, also use the slabs between the feet of my gear and the wood cabinet shelves.

I really like the look of your speaker stands! Do you recommend them? Any special considerations? (Looks like you've provided additional mass by using some pieces of marble?) Do you know of a source for them? I've been hoping to find stands having a similar design, but with an open top and cylindrical (rather then square/rectangular) vertical sections, to use with some heavy smaller monitors. And in silver. Thanks.

Thought I would be all organized and get behind the cabinet and tidy up my cables with velcro ties. Wrong answer, whether it is a power, analog or digital cable, keep them as straight as possible. Keeping them in channels (all powers in one, analog in another, and digital in a third) is a plus. Verified this over 4 days or so...

BTW, listened to Queen's Greatest Hits from HS, Pink Floyd the Wall and Prodigy, The Fast of the Land on vinyl to confirm this. :)

With audiophile racks being so pricey it is always great to see something like your LP rack be so effective without being a major expense, great idea that looks great & gives you easy access to your LP's.
I am in Sonora,Ca. about 110 miles east of Danville in the Sierra foothills north of Yosemite.

Hey Tune_man. Thank you for the compliment. I like your systems also. Where do you live in CA? I grew up in Danville and now live in Redmond, WA. I really like the Tekton 6.5t speakers. I have some Tukans in an all Linn system upstairs (Classik, K400) and the Tektons have a better freq response and image a little better.

Yes, the LP rack in the corner might help with reflections but I am lucky that it is just a short accent wall that goes into the kitchen. The LP rack is just a wire modular cube unit from Target.
