This RME dac is hands down the best bang for the buck in the history of Dacs and that is not hyperbole. Check any one of the 1000 reviews to confirm. I bought a Chord Hugo TT2 which is an incredible dac that cost 5x the price of this and it was hard to switch. Not to mention this dac has a massive array of features to play with if you're so inclined to do so. Otherwise I set it for my system at -15.5db gain, with slow filter and enjoyed the hell out of this for 2 years. If you're spending less than 1k on a dac there simply isnt another choice for sound and features that can remotely match this. If i didn't spend way more money on a crazy expensive dac to fulfill my stupid desire to upgrade i could have been happy with this for the long haul.
