I am the original owner of this combo which has been used sparingly in a smoke free home. Excellent choice for receiver-based home theater as well as separate components. The subwoofer's single 10" driver has ample throw and power to deliver the striking, low frequency performance AAD is known for. This combo easily compares to systems costing considerably more and will please anyone who also wants great performance for music.
All items will arrive in their original factory packaging. Known flaws have been photographed and are presented in this ad. Flaws on top of main speakers and subwoofer are the result of the factory packing having imprinted on the finish. These flaws are slight enough that they may not appear in the ad photos. From most angles in normal indoor lighting conditions, these are difficult to see. The only other known flaw is a small nick on the swiveling base of one of the S-5 floor standing speakers.
AAD (American Acoustic Development) was started by Phil Jones of Phil Jones Bass (PJB). He also was behind Platinum Audio which was a high end speaker manufacturer. AAD products were designed to meet high end build and sound quality expectations but were sold at more competitive prices. The original retail for this combo was around 5000.00 in 2010.
Total weight of all items is 211 lb. I can arrange shipment via freight/pallet if buyer prefers. This may be the most economical method, considering the total size and weight of the shipment. FedEx services are also available.
