Last sunday I placed goldmund cones under the jadis convertor, proved to be a good choice.

Also replaced the dedicated lines with AHP fuses,
first impression : wider image/air, more laid-back.

forsell with jadis works very well, like analog.
i relative has also a forsell with the original dac, he has tried the jadis, he said it was better.

In the past i was using stax dma x2 as amplifier with the avalon's, very good, but with tubes you will get the magic.

Great system! The Avalons are one of the only and very few box speakers i ever liked. The Forsell is incredible too!

Nice setup! How does the Forsell transport mate with the Jadis DAC?? I also own the Forsell transport but it's mated with the DAC of the same manufacturer!! (see my system)

Awsome, I think the Avalons work with tubes much much better..look at those stands for the cables..just immaculate. Probably one of the happiest Avalon Ascents in the world. They deserve that much Attention. Really tell us how these compare to Eidolons? All I know these sold for some 32K in Korea about 10 years ago and back then you could buy an apartment with that. So I settled for OPUS and I am just now trying to make em happy too..

The Acents are now dynamic and very musical/coherent.
Improvements for future will be room acoutics (wish i have a bigger room) who has experience with it ?

The Ascents where from one who has upgraded to the Eidolon, but afterwards he regrets it.

Gallant, in the past i had also apogee's (the apogee)!

Great system. If I ever downsize (Large Apogees driven by three big amps), your system would be one of my inspirations. Please tell us more how it sounds. What is the strengthen and further areas of improvement.

How would Ascents compare with Eidolons?
