Hello to all Audiophilers. It has been a long journey and I'm almost to the end. I want to share my humble & proud system with you. We all have our preferences in our journey to build a system to our standard. The MBL gears is the end of the road for me. Every time I fire up the system, I bring the concert hall home and all the musicians play their instruments & sing right in front of me and thats go for both movies & musics. I believe it is the best we can hope for in a playback system. I wish everythings go as plan & well in your journey. As for me, the look, feel, & sound of MBL is HEAVENLY!     • Oppo BDP-105
    This is a great for HT and some musics.
    • Koetsu Rosewood Signature
    I love the way Koetsu produce the sound. Very lush mid & sweet high and solid bottom.
    • MBL 6010D Pre-amp
    This is the best solid state pre-amp I have ever encounter. Its has all tube charateristic but without tube flaws. The craftmanship is out of this world.
    • MBL 101E MKII
    WoW! behold my pride & joy! There is no speaker can move me like the MBL 101E MKII. Its sound so REAL.
    • MBL 121 Center channel
    Use one as a center channel. Excellent sound and match with my front two channels.
    • MBL 121 surround
    I use a pair of MBL 121 for the surround channels and a single 121 for the center channel.
    • MBL 9008A monoblock amp
    Beautiful, just plain BEAUTIFUL in look & sound....
    • Theta Digital Casablanca III surround processor
    This is cream-de-la-cream processor in the market. It equipt with 2 of their top DAC The Extreme Dac. It has all the bell & whitle and extremely detail on set-up.

Thanks for the nice words. I have the 101 sit on a black slab without spikes. I don't want to elevate the 101 any higher. Sitting on the slabs, the bass hit tighter & more taunter. As for the sub, i only use it for the movies and one f112 is plenty. I use just one jl f112 and it is a killer for movies in my 16x19 room. The f113 is good for larger size room and the f112 is better for small to medium room. It blend in with my 121 center perfectly. Either watching movies or listening to musics, I'm in MBL HEAVEN!

Ok, now this is one fine system Eric. What a set-up. You have done a very nice job of setting up a combo 2 channel / home theater in your family room. I can only imagine how hard it hits and how clean it plays with MBL across the front. So when are the 121's for the rear surrounds coming? Also, are your 101e Mk2's sitting directly on top of the black granite slabs, or do you have the spikes on them too? Hard to tell from the pictures. Do you find that having the 101e's sitting on top of granite elevates performance in any way? Even if it didn't, it still looks really cool. And is one JL Audio sub sufficient, or would you recommend 2 of them? I'm thinking of getting a pair of JL Audio f113's to be used with my 101e Mk2's.

Thank you for the nice comments. I listen mostly female vocal, jazz(Norah Jone, Diana Krall,Tracey Kent) & easy listening. With female vocal, these 101e is amazing real. Don't go listening to mbl speaker if you are not ready to buy them. If you do, the upgrade bug is going to get you, seriously! And that's what happen to me. I listen mostly LPs and so I'm not in a really hurry to try, but I will down the road to try their dac & sacd players.

Boy, what a system, i can imagine your enjoyment, what do you listen to music wise? I havent heard the 101e's, or any MBL speaker but they are on my list as and when my ML's no longer deliver the sonic goods any longer, which may be some time..

Have you tried the MBL cd systems?
