Description

A modest set up in Mumbai India. Room is rather small [200 sq. ft], hence 'big' speakers do not 'work'. Many changes have taken place.

Awesome setup! I've toying with the idea of going with a 2 PC setup + JPlAY for my computer audio as well. What kind of improvement did you experience with JPLAY? Also, have you tried running Windows Server + Audiophile Optimizer? When I did this I was amazed at the improvement! I highly suggest it.

I think all the speakers you used need at least 2.5 feet from the side wall to side baffle

masilu

I think if you get a better room (14*18 or 16*20 feet) you will need to listen to all equipments again. you know what i mean :)

masilu

you should move to a bigger space buddy......speakers just too close to the walls to work on their potential...but nice toys anyway...best wishes...

raindog031

wonderful , i live in Cochin , India .... really surprised to know somebody having a setup like this here....would like to audition the Cadence Canasya

Hats Off.

Thanks SL !
You are most welcome - home - anyday.

Yes, I too am satisfied with the performance of my audio set up. Really musical & rather involving;
Audiophilic terms do tend to take a 'back seat' !
The Amplifier - Cadence Canasya & The Speaker - Tidal & The dCS all seem to work as 1 team !!

Thanks . I enjoyed my visit & musical experience "AS ALWAYS" on 10Dec2011.
Like I said the first time, the speakers dont seem to exist, just pure music between the two. Beautiful imaging. At my place I enjoy the tenor sax the most. At your place every instrument comes to life. You have patience & dedication like "NO OTHER".
Hats Off.

Nice setup.

What are your crossover settings on the Martin Logans?
Lapierre (System | Answers | This Thread)

"

I use 2 subs & the settings are 'different' on both.
The ML Subs have lots of 'tune' functions - so I use them.
They are placed - close to wall & far from wall & also operate @ different spl & frequencies etc.
It may be difficult to 'pen' down here....
Hope you understand.
This was all done by 'ear'
Listen & change....
Took a while to settle on these settings...

Thanks - Skljesus;
The Cadence Canasya is a good amplifier & I have enjoyed it for a while now. I do hope you like them too.

Yes Mazher,
Now I am the lucky one who had the pleasure of hearing you sys.
At times I felt that there were no spkrs in front of me. Amazing.
Mr. Ajay Shirke has you to thank first. You inspired the confidence in me to know that there is some substance in these amps.
Amazing.
You have patience & perseverance. This I got to say.

and u know why that name

Nice setup.

What are your crossover settings on the Martin Logans?

lapierre

Anyone out there have any experience of pairing the above.
I am currently using the Classe CA 400 which delivers 200 rms per side.
I believe the Canasya does the same, ie also go to 200 per side, 50 watts in Class "A"
I would welcome some comments/suggestions on this
thanks

skljesus

i have read about your system.
what made u go for cadence canasya
does it hold up against all the other "gigantic" names in that list of "who's who".
i am terribly terribly interested in your comments.
plese write back
thanks

System edited: Speaker position was changed; Opened up - no toe in. Sub Woofer 'frequency & level' was changed; Vitus Pre was added & then removed. dCS sounds better - direct. Moved from Bertram Model 8 speaker cable to Silencable Symphony Speaker Cable. USB Cable too was changed - Wire World Platinum was removed & Revelation Audio Labs was re-installed. Sounds 'better' to my ears !! Really sublime & musically satisfying...

schwinnindia

Hi. I'm using a PC-based Scarlatti system, what kind of sound are you getting right now and what are you unhappy with?

russell_davies

Hello my friend!

Get a mac mini and play through itunes and Amarra software. Much easier, no hassle and better sound. I think your Scarlatti deserves this!

Happy 2011,

Would love to hear your observations regarding how the different combos of speakers and such sound comparatively.
The speaker is the 'same'
Tidal Amea Diacera.
What has changed is the amplifier.
In house = Cadence Canasya & the 'visitor' is The Lars [Sweden]
Both are very different - 845 [tube] & 300B [tube]

I also had the EMM Labs = 2 Box @ home & the Bow Technologies DAC @ home. The dCS Scarlatti was way better...
