Description

My Walsh Dream

While some of my equipment tends to be older, However, most of it has been highly modified within the last two years improving the overall performance by night and day.

My goal has been to produce as realistic and palpable a sound as possible with a very high degree of resolution and definition.

I use this system to test our speaker creations and ultimately for my wife and I to enjoy our music. I maintain my home as a show room for clients, so that they may hear” our creations in a real home environment and not a $50K sound room.

I presently run up to 32 bit 384kHz on CD's and I have a Q-Sonix computer based music server system for playing high resolution music files up to 24/192. We also enjoy vinyl on a Luxman PD-441 Turntable with a Premier arm and Grado Statement cartridge.

So far, I have not reached the level where the speakers fail to provide new levels of resolution, detail and realism, including a test system valued at $150K +.

A considerable amount of my equipment is custom designed and built by myself.

Many of my inter-connects are custom designs using solid Silver wire, Teflon insulation and UBT connectors with various winding geometries.

My speaker cables are also custom and consist of 3/8th inch wide ultra thin (.0015") OFC copper and Teflon PTFE jackets.

In addition, all my equipment racks and plinths are hand made from 2" to 4" thick old growth Maple and are hand rubbed with Tung Oil finishes, Following in the footsteps of Mapleshade Audio.

Finally, I also manufacture tube coolers and these are available in various sizes. If you will look at the picture of my monoblock DT200 amps you will see the tube coolers in action on Gold Lions famed KT88’s.

We have added new products to our line-up as of late 2013 and early 2015. Aw Dale, what are you doin' to me! Years ago (early 90s or so) my father gave me his old pair of Ohm F's which I cherished. Then one of the surrounds went. I had it refoamed(?) by a local repairer but I always felt as though the speakers had lost a step from then on. So a couple years later I was looking to upgrade and my friend bought them from me, he absolutely loved them, so I sold them to him as I simply needed the money to upgrade. Of course, that was quite a few years ago now as well, but he still has them... and I've always wanted to buy them back.

So now I find this and I don't have a pair of model F's to upgrade any longer. Damn you Dale! And thank you for doing justice to these terrific classic speakers. Should I ever become the owner of another pair or my old pair I'll be sending them your way!
