Adstew congrats! Did you snatch that ebony demo pair from the old importer? I've been eyeing on that pair, really love the finish. Each time I logged in here I used to re-look them in the buy section just to admire their exotic grain pattern. It must be much more beautiful live! As well, sounds wonderful.
As for cable, may I suggest you give the Siltech Royal line a try. A friend and fellow A'goners replaced his top line Crystal Cable with which he'd been using to very good effect with his previous speakers (Isis) with Siltech King. This after extensive auditioning/comparing the Prince with others in his system, and told me he could not be happier. He is running the Contriva Diacera SE now, with sole initial complain to me was that he found the mid and upper bass to be just a tad lean--a problem now completely ameliorated--though I must add, the breaking-in helped part of it too.
