Thanks for your comments Milpai and Mountainsong...yes, it's a real tiny room, don't have any choice really where to place the equipment and listen (real) nearfield...I can't think of any better speakers for my situation - they are like time machines (all of a sudden hours has passed)...I do biwire - they do seem to sound (even) better as such...I really enjoy testing various cables (that I can afford) - power cords never cease to fascinate, how they can change the sound so much - and will try AZ SC as you suggest whenever opportunity strikes...so far the most satisfying has been Nordost Blue Heaven and Valkyrja (I've had Red Dawn and Frey as well)...I've tested a bunch of other known brands as well - my speakers are internally wired with Nordost cable (SA2k Master) and there seems to be a certain synergy...

Hello Chris,

Many thanks for your nice comment - the speakers are intended to be used that way and I have no complaints about the 'staging...it's truly outstanding and converts my tiny room to the space the 'software' was recorded in (no doubt vinyl is way better at this illusion) - just have to close my eyes (and preferably at night with the lights out ;-)

Hey - even Stooges Raw Power sounds great (who'd have thunk it)!
