    • Ray Lumley Tube Mono Block M-100
These amps work well with my panels, helping produce a wide and deep soundstage with a detailed midrange and highs. The bass is full and powerfull without being one note.
    • Jeff Rowland model 5
The model 5 sounds detailed yet warm and laid back in the mids. Works well with Acoustat 2+2.
    • Beard P-100
A Brittish KT-88 100w/ch tube amp with a lush midrange and powerful bass. Used as a back-up for my Ray Lumley mono blocks.
    • Jeff Rowland Consummate
Consummate preamp with phono stage. Replaced a Threshold T3 and Arc PH3 phono amp. Analog is more detailed with with more extended highs and tighter bass.
    • Lenco L75
Heavily modified Lenco L75 table with AirTech MG-1 air bearing tonearm and Denon DL103R cartridge. Heavy CLD plinth in Cocobolo and Ebony.
    • Oppo BDP-95
    Oppo DVD player
    • Pioneer LD-S2
The best laser disc player Pioneer ever made. Picture quality as good as DVD with a more dynamic and analog sound.
    • Pioneer Elite F-91
A fairly sensitive and clean sounding tuner with excellent bass.
    • Studer A-807
A playback only machine from the local CBC radio station. With cart and dual meter bridge. An excellent sounding deck.
    • Acoustat 2+2
    Hafler Red Medalion Transformers.
    • Calyx Femto
An excellent DAC replacing my Oppo BDP-95 for Audio (except SACD).

System edited: My current 2 ch/HT system with a Mitsubishi HC5 and 92" motorized screen. The amps and preamps have been upgraded to Jeff Rowland and Ray Lumley/Beard tube amps. The Pioneer LD-S2 laser disc player is still in transit.

System edited: I have replaced my Bedini BA-803 ss amp with a pair of Ray Lumley M-100 tube mono blocks. The result has been a wider sweet spot and a wider and deeper soundstage. The bass isn't as tight but it is powerful and not boomy or one note at all. The midrange is lush and detailed and the highs detailed. The Tetra 406 speakers have been replaced with Acoustat model 4 panels for surround sound. Acoustat home theater is amazingly immersive. The EAD TheaterVision p DVD player has been replaced with an Oppo BDP-95. The result has been an increase in detail in the midrange and highs. The player also streams Netflix.

System edited: Replaced Newform Research R645 with Tetra 406 and then with Acoustat 2+2 with Hafler Red Medallion transformers. More natural midrange with great imaging and detail. Lower bass is enhanced with an Axiom EP-500 ver.III.

System edited: Replaced the Newform Research speakers with Tetra 406, another Canadian made speaker to gain some warmth as the ribbons were a little bright. Bass response suffered so I replaced the Tetra speakers with Acoustat 2+2. Much better bass response, amazing imaging and midrange. Lower bass is aided by an Axiom EP-500 ver.III.
