Description

My systems consists of:

73" Mitsubishi C9

Pioneer Elite VSX-82TXS

5 - Dark Cherry Ascend Acoustics Sierra 1 Speakers

Emotiva XPA-5

Denon Quartz DP-32F Turntable

Dish Network VIP 622 HD DVR

PS3

XBOX 360

All the speaker stands I made myself, and am working on designs for a stand to hold all the components vertically. I also do not have a sub yet for my system, but am looking into the SVS PB13-Ultra or the HSU Research ULS-15.

Let me know if you have any suggestions or what you think.

    • Hsu Research ULS-15
HSU Research is proud to introduce the ULS-15, an ultra low distortion subwoofer that extends down to 10 Hz in most rooms. Besides outstanding performance, it is the most spouse friendly sub we've ever offered, with wireless connection, beautiful finish, and compact size. It is the first high end subwoofer with wireless connection. This makes it so much easier to optimally place the subwoofer without ugly wires or the high cost of running in-wall wires to the optimal location. For the truly high end folks, you can also run balanced signal to the subwoofer. The ultra low distortion, super deep bass extension, and balanced inputs make it ideally suitable for recording studios. The ULS-15 features a woofer with patented super linear motor. The motor force is linear within 2% over an ultra wide +/- 20 mm. In contrast, most woofers with Xmax of +/- 30 mm will have the motor force within 2% over 5 mm or less. It also has a butyl rubber foam surround. Butyl rubber foam has the longevity of solid butyl rubber without the weight penalty. Triple shorting rings mean virtually non-existent flux modulation distortion.

Nice well thought-out system.
(You accidentally listed your amp under the preamp catagory. You may want to change it because it is confusing.)

Did you notice an improvement using the Emotiva amp vs. the Pioneer Elites internal amps?

Your speakers are nice looking. How did you come to choose these?

Congrats!
