I also have the Ascendants and used to build speakers for Avalon.

I've found them to be like a pair of flashlights that need utter attention paid to room placement and proximity to sidewall versus rear wall, as they are capable of such focus. Congrats on a great system. I've heard the 'dants paired with ridiculously high-end components, and rest assured, they will raise their performance to match associated gear.

I love my Dymanic Design cables, in fact I've just upgraded to their new TSE. The Vandies were fine but I wanted more detail and soundstage presence.

I was in the same situation but chose the BDA-1 and use the Rega Apollo as a transport. The Saturn does not even come close to the BCD or BDA-1 in soundstage, microdynamics and musicality.

Nice system! I have Rega Apollo but I am itching for an upgrade. I am thinking about going for the Saturn but the Bryston DAC looks interesting. How do you like the DAC and does it have a simular character as the Rega players?
