Not to butt in but since you have greatly enhanced you sonic presentation, here is something else you can try which might even improve what you have accomplished already.
Toe in your speakers until their axis cross in front of your listening position. This will minimize the effect of side will reflections quite a bit and give you better focus. It will also allow you to put your speakers closer to the side walls and give you a wider sound stage (assuming you can adjust your listening position accordingly).
It has worked exceptionally well for me.
