I´m updating again, now whith a pair of Rogue Audio Apollo´s monoblocks. My first tube amps. They are coming maybe next month. Let´s see what happen.

Also to add, the XPA-1's first 10 watts are class A via conversations with the lead engineer (Lonnie). The XPR-1 while being twice as powerful (1000W 8ohm) than the XPA-1's (500W 8ohm) the XPR-1's have no Class A power via tech support.

Yes, the XPR series, Being the XPR1, the mono option. I don't know nothing about class H amps. You'll need 20 amp outlets.

Thanks for the response. I went to their website; looks like they've now released what looks to be a model up from both the XPA2 and 1. (Class H) I can't remember if that's the same or different from the XPA1 and 2.

They (the monos) sound better in every way, better clarity, better sound at lower and higher volumes, better separation, lower heat, etc. I highly recommend them over the XPA2, I should have made the right decision from the beginning... I have the XPA2 "sleeping" in my rack...

Oh? Obviously they're more powerful. In what context do they sound better? For example, at moderate music-listening levels, does one sound far better than the other? In whatever case, would you mind saying how or in what way the sound is better?

Music 70%, movies 30%.
I don´t have much experience with other amps, only and Emotiva XPA2 and the XPA1´s. The monos are far better sounding amps.
Maybe in a future, I´ll be trying another amps, but by now, I´m pretty happy with the Emo´s.

Well that's good: don't have to fork out the $$$ for a proper stand to elevate it.

Do you listen to much music by itself. If so, do you favour your amps for music or movies? I guess I'm asking about your experience with the Emotiva amps.\

Aaronknock, the center speaker is on the floor but it has brass feet only in the front, and the sound is really in my face. I feel safer with a speaker this big and heavy on the floor.

Very tasteful; great attention to detail. I guess I would be wondering whether it would be worth elevating the centre speaker up to the bottom of the screen. Looks like an inviting place and a lot of fun :)

Used to be a little too "alive", but after adding some bass traps (DIY), in the side walls and behind the speakers, it really improved. There are still some vibrations, when the bass gets really deep, from windows and some shelves. I'm looking for a solution for these problems.

Hi Leog,
Love the look of those Tyler speakers and that awsome leather single chair shaped like an 'S' - must be comfortable. I recognize the Rythmic subs as I also have a pair of F15s.

I like to large size and openness of the room. Do you feel that it's too acoustically alive? Do you partially close the window blinds to prevent mid/high freq bounce back from the glass windows? What about flutter echoes between the bare floor and ceiling? Any treatments for the back wall behind the couches?

Looks like a great room to party, entertain or just unwind and relax.
