Description

This is a secondary system in my Family Room measuring 21(L)X13(W)X7(H). I know this system is more on the budget end but it sounds very good. Since my system was initially posted I've updated my subwoofer, DAC, and speakers. I also have a spare pair of KEF R3 speakers and Kimber Kable TC-12 speaker cables (bi-wire), that I may swap in and out of this system from time to time. I hope that I am done updating this system. The sound is big, detailed, and satisfying.

FWIW, I bought my first DAC about a year ago. I picked up a Lite Audio DAC-60 here on the 'gon for about $350. It's a tube-based unit that I found to bring more neutral sound and a fair amount of blackness that wasn't noticeable on my Adcom source (which will be changed out soon). I enjoyed it much more than the Musical Fidelity a324 that a friend borrowed me. This unit seemed a bit dry and lifeless. If it's a desire of yours, you can do a bit of tube rolling with this model. I initially replaced the cheap Russian tubes with a set of Tesla's, only to be replaced with a pair of Amperex 7308's.
