This is a Pre-Pre Amplifier for Moving Coil Cartridges. It has internal loading switches for gain and loading. It is one the best Pre- Pre amps I ever heard for a solid state device. Right after I bought this unit I found its electrolytic caps were all leaking and bad so I ordered new ones to replace them all. It has the details in the owners manual which comes with the 1AC. I have other Pre-pre amps but decided to sell this one which I don't use as much. I literality blown away when I first set it up and play for a listen. I usually would not sell this unit but I need some extra money with the economy the way it is.
