Nottingham Analogue 10" Ace Space Tonearm - listing ends March 28th (will not be renewed)

Now $700 - final reduction, will not be relisted (ends 03/28 at 03:59 PM) - I have decided to run it as a second arm if it doesn't sell for $700.

It's time to part with my beloved 10" Nottingham Analogue Ace Space arm in excellent condition. The sole reason for selling is that I've just upgraded to Nottingham's top of the range Anna arm. It has, however, been a wonderful servant and I could happily have never changed, but I hardly need to explain the urge to upgrade to Audiogon folks.

Nottingham arms are somewhat underrated in my opinion. Years ago I used to run a SME IV on my Nottingham decks and the Ace Space competes with it sonically in many key respects and, perhaps not surprisingly, offers excellent system synergy within the Nottingham turntable ecosystem. It has an adjustable headshell and a threaded VTA adjustment screw, double long grain carbon fibre tubing and damping pockets set into the barrell of the tonearm. Very simple, extremely effective.

Set up is very straightforward and, as was the hallmark of all the late, great Tom Fletcher's designs, simplicity of installation and operation is very much to the fore. It more than did justice to the exceptional Soundsmith Zephyr MIMC moving iron cartridge (not included in sale), demonstrating tremendous dynamics and great subtlety, according to the music choice, all presented in a wonderfully wide, deep and tall soundstage.

If you already have a Nottingham setup, this would be a great second arm (additional armbases are available for the Spacedeck, Hyperspace and Dais).
 
As you can see from the images, the tonearm wire is ultra thin and the connectors are quite tight, so connection with your cartridge, while simple, does require a steady hand and a bit of TLC. With that said, it took me just a careful couple of minutes to fit it all during each install.

The arm comes in a Nottingham arm box - nothing much to say about that, but a proper box for it anyway. Please check my feedback with regard to packaging - this will be double boxed with lots of cushioning bubble wrap etc. Pivot to spindle distance is 210mm.
