ProAc Response D38 Floorstanding Loudspeakers

ProAc Response D38 floorstanding loudspeakers in upgraded Bird's Eye Maple finish. I am the second owner and purchased them in 2016. They are in excellent condition, but rated as 8 per the Audiogon Grading Scale, because I am not the original owner.

Incredible imaging and tonality. Easy to place due to the down-firing port and side-vented plinth. I have owned both the D28 and D38 in my 12x18x8 listening room and enjoyed both of them, but the D38 is a step up in terms of driver integration, size and depth of soundstage, image placement, bass control, and reduced cabinet resonance.

Factory packaging, carpet spikes, and jumpers are included, but I don’t have the owner’s manual.

Local sale preferred.
I will consider shipping them, if the buyer is willing to arrange for a freight service and assume responsibility for shipment.

I am willing to allow brief auditions if we are both wearing masks, but prefer to not have extended listening sessions. I am looking for a buyer that has already been through the speaker selection process and has made a purchase decision on ProAc, but would like to have the ability to view them in person and verify they are in excellent condition and working order; and for both of us to not worry about shipping issues. Of course, you are under no obligation to purchase them if they don't meet your expectations.

Bank or cashier’s check preferred for in-person purchase, but I will also accept a personal check as long as the address on the check matches a valid Oregon driver’s license. I will also accept PayPal, and I will cover the fee.

I will also deliver in the Portland area, or meet somewhere between Seattle and Southern Oregon, after payment has been received via PayPal (I will cover the fee).

Answers to anticipated questions, and miscellaneous information:

-- This is a factory-matched pair with identical serial numbers as shown in photos.

-- Factory boxes (qty 2) are 55x21x16 inches, and fit in my mid-sized SUV with the seats folded down.

-- I don't have recent feedback history due to enjoying my current system, but have a long-term track record of owning, buying/selling, and packaging/shipping excellent audio equipment.

-- Reason for sale: downsizing my system to allow the room to be used for multiple purposes.

-- The speakers have been in the same room since I bought them. Dark room; blinds are always closed.   

-- I listen with the grills on, but not sure about the original owner. The finish doesn't appear to show any signs of fading. The bird's eye maple appears to be a resilient finish that maintains its good looks, although I was looking for cherry at the time. It blends in better than I thought it would.
