Tested with a basic aftermarket phono preamp - works perfectly.
Tonearm cueing / damping works as expected
Motor runs silently.
No discernable hum from the speakers - belt must still be within reasonable tension.
No discernable belt degradation.
Strobe light and speed control all work fine.
No visible runout in the platter nor drive pulley.
Oil in the inner platter spindle bearing still seems reasonably clean - yellowish, not black.

This turntable belonged to my late father, but I have no other details on the provenance / prior owners of this piece.

Cosmetics:

The original Audio Technica AT120E cartridge had a bent stylus cantilever, so it has been replaced with an AT120Eb (purchased here on Audiogon), whose seller stated:
"Overall condition is good despite an amateurish attempt to touch up some paint on the underside of the screw mounts (difficult to see when the stylus is attached). The AT stylus has been replaced twice during its ownership; however, this most recent one hasn't seen much use. Guaranteed to work as intended".

The smoked plexiglass / Perspex dust cover is missing its hinges, and part of the dust cover has broken away. This was likely caused by careless movers. There are some scratches; I doubt I will find time to polish these out. Replacement replica covers can be found on eBay for approximately. $180.

Overall, the wood frame plinth (walnut veneer, I believe) is in generally good condition. One slight nick on the lower left corner. Again, the scratches were likely caused by careless movers. Probably most - if not all - blemishes could be gently sanded out with 400 grit then re-stained.

The Sure SME head shell has some very minor cosmetic damage, but the head shell still connects to the tonearm firmly, with no visible misalignment.

No owner's manual, but easily available online.

My preference is to sell locally to an aficionado in the Triangle (Raleigh / Durham / Chapel Hill / Cary) area of NC. Sorry - I will not deliver (beyond a 1-hour round-trip from my home); I just don't have the time.

For serious local buyers who wish to demo with their own stylus/ cartridge of choice, I am open to a demo at my home.

If shipping out of town, the outer and inner platters will be removed and packed separately. The tonearm will be zip-tied, but upon request, I can remove the tonearm and carefully wrap it in bubble wrap. Since I don't have the original carton, I have spent many hours sourcing and adapting packing materials to provide the best level of protection.

The turntable by itself weighs 29 pounds; box and packing materials added 9 more pounds of weight (total of 38 pounds).
