Tandberg TR-2080 - Fully restored in 2015/2016

I bought this receiver in 2006 from the estate of its first owner in the SF bay area.  I used it as the hub of my system while my spouse and I were living in Concord Ma.  I had lusted after one of these since I was a college student in the late mid/late 1970's.  Used it with an Thorens turntable and ortofon MM cartridge driving sound dynamics 300Ti speakers.  In 2014 my dad passed away and I had to move to the family home to take care of mom.   I built a more high end tube based system there while my spouse and I had individual homes.  I had the TR 2080 professionally restored 2015 or so by Approved Audio Service in Bantam Ct.  The technician who did the restoration was the former service manager for Tandberg USA in the 1980's.   I was very pleased with result and kept this receiver as my main system in the Concord, Ma  apartment.   It is the most pleasing pieces of audio gear I have ever owned and I had planned to set up a "Vintage" system if i expanded my current home.   My mom passed in 2018 and my spouse retired in 2019 so we combined households and I just cannot keep all the stereo equipment here in a 968 SF house.   I will be listing lots of other great vintage stuff in future listings.  I also have an Entre ET-200 MC step up transformer if you wish to use a MC cartridge with this receiver.  I was last using this with a variety of vintage MC cartridges.   I have a reprinted copy of the owners manual.   Payment by personal or Bank check is preferred by could also do Venmo or Paypal friends and family.  I am not a business and just trying yo unclutter equipment I am not using.  Receiver will be VERY well packed with lots of bubble wrap and packing peanuts in heavy duty box.  I prefer to ship Fedex ground.  Please wait for shipping cost before payment.  I welcome phone calls to discuss how great this receiver is.   I have great feedback here on Audiogon and on Ebay.  My name on both id BRADBOSTON so you can look up my feedback
