Stevenbell, I am a long time user of this company and just received the Onkyo TX-NR 906 fully modded and it turned out fabulous. No glare, no hardness and just sparkles with clarity well beyond what I thought could be achieved through this unit. It is the solution for a one box does all unit. I listened to the 906 extensively while it was in stock form and is not what I would call an audiophile sound. Now it is rich, lively, open and very detailed. I know exactly what you are saying about music.

System edited: I just added the Signature Edition Onkyo A9555.Its a cost no object by the UPGRADE COMPANY.I was skeptical at first but bought it without listening to it first. It is the best peice of equipment I have ever owned. It was like a blanket had been lifted off my system.imaging is fantastic,It makes music sound like music at last.

That seems like a pretty well balanced system already. What is it you would like to change about the sound?

Steven,

Some pictures showing the room layout including speaker location and listening position will help those that might provide useful feedback to help you get things "dialed-in".

Also, any information you can relate in snippets about what sounds good or bad with your system to you.
