Basement/man cave/record storage system. Crazy long odd shaped room actually sounds terrific. Cary integrated powers jack to plug in outdoor speakers. AL 5’s fill up every square inch with warm sound. Had a huge flood 10 years ago and decided to finish basement. Hidden mechanicals, laundry, storage and large bathroom created peculiar L- shaped room. Works well for my purpose.
Just like your main system upstairs, absolutely superb!
A couple of questions: How long have you had the Elco Hf-81 and La Scalia AL-5's and where did you find them? Did you have to re-build the Elco to any degree?
Lastly, how many albums would you say are in your vinyl collection currently :)?
Honestly, I usually sit at the table in front of cabinet. Have a nice tasty beverage. Surprisingly full and detailed sound everywhere in narrow section of the basement. I’m not so much a dedicated sit alone listening chair guy. Music is more social for me. The cary powers a pair of harbeth’s that I drag out back.
Your equipment is superb, but that unusually narrow L-shape room must be hard to work with. It looks like the walls cut into to flow of sound from your speakers, and I don't see listening seating. Your cabinetry is superb, just love it. What speakers does you Cary power?
