I tried many amplifiers to drive these notoriously difficult speakers:  Counterpoint, AudioResearch, and some famous transistor amps.  Only the NYAL sounded comfortable---and in fact they sound not just comfortable, but glorious.

Very nice system! Those Stax F83 are a real treat to see.  Very refined and extremely musical.  Love the Klyne preamp and although I'm not familiar with the NYAL OTLs, I couldn't imagine anything other than a tube amp on the Stax!

Glorious sounds about right!
