Hey, sorry I missed your reply and I've just been catching up on Augiogon, 2 years later!

I still have the Elipsas and I rotate amps but my main rig is currently Goldmund Telos 280 power amp (Class A/B, fast/tight) and EAR Yoshino 912 preamp (balancing with some sweetness). I really like that combination.

Elipsas are fairly easy to drive and I've mated them with good satisfaction with Pass Labs XA30.8 (Class A), Jadis Defy DA8 (6550) Line Magnetic 845P (845/300B) and even an Audion 300B.

Do you still own the Elipsas and are you still happy with your rigs?

Yes, I have two systems. Mcintosh MC452 with Sonus faber Elipsa SE and Mastersound with diapason. Joel, what amp are you using with SF?

Great setup! I also have the Elipsa SE's fantastic speakers (together with the Harbeth!). What made you change from a McIntosh power amp to the Mastersound 845? Thanks!
