My first 'good' disc player. I'm blown away by how good this thing sounds. I'm starting to like digital again! And Tidal on the Oppo? My God, it sounds way better than I ever imagined streaming could.

I can only begin to imagine how amazing those multi thousand dollar transports and DACs must sound.

Mains - I may give you a shout. I just need to do more research and save some cash. It'll probably be after a European vacation we're talking this summer.

@fourwnds - sorry for the late reply! Loving the bon Iver! I've recently moved way from the bearings and marbles, mostly because they were integrated with rubber feet and I decided to see what improvement, if any, I'd hear if I got rid of rubber. First I replaced the inner tube air springs under my wooden platforms with metal compression springs. This greatly improved clarity, so I then got rid of the marbles and rubber feet and replaced them with wooden balls under the turntable and copper feet under my pre. Another improvement in clarity. If I decide to integrate bearings again, it'll be in a bearing system that uses metal cups. But right now I don't hear the need. Things are sounding great!

Is there a large difference in sound using the marbles and steel ball bearings for horizontal vibration control? How are you liking the new Bon Iver?
