Totally agree. The more I get into vinyl and my Grado cart (currently in the shop) the more I want to hear that ECM stuff. Those records with Nana Vasconcelos are killer. Nice system!

About 3 weeks ago I had a Furutech GTX-D NCF receptacle and wall plate installed along with running a new dedicated AC line (# 10 solid wire). I was and still am floored by what these 2 simple and cost effective upgrades did for my system. I think I'll try theĀ Synergistic Research Black fuse for my amp next. Thanks for the upgrade ideas. Ron ... PS I saw your post on the "Upgrade my DAC or buy more weed" thread and remembered your handle.

Hi Ron, thank you for the comments. As for the platforms I did not notice much of a difference with the amps as compared to the table. I had the platforms for amps from past Thiel1.5's. so that wasn't a bummer. Getting the Nott base out from under it and adding the maple plat it has a way of clearing away a murkiness and a tightening up that surprised me. Vibration control as I've come to find out is not audiophiley bs and worth delving into at least as it applies to my turntable anyway.

I have enjoyed viewing and reading about your system. I've been interested for some time in maple platforms but have yet to experiment. Can you relate your experience with these platforms? Before and after. Thanks Ron

Just put in the Synergistic Research Black fuse into the Quicksilver. No words. Try one.
