Description

It all started when I was given a single Jensen speaker with a monophonic H.H.Scott Tuner/preamp/Sun/Acrosound transformer mono amp. Next came a Williamson stereo amp. Then Big Jensen 4 ways. Then I heard the KLH Model Nines and I was hooked on electrostatics. I have owned Maggies, Marantz audio consolette, Marantz model 7, Model 8b, Carver Silver7s, ML CLSz, Ribbon Hybrid systems, my all time favorite is the KLH Model Nines

I currently use the Accuphase/JansZen zA2.1/KLH Model Nine system on a daily listening basis. Accuphase C-300 drives the KLH Nines, B&K EX-442 Sonata drives the Janszen zA2.1, x-over is Sumo Delilah with internal EQ defeated to use with external sub-woofers other than JBL system. I do have a single B-380 15" JBL but i prefer the stereo subs afforded by the zA2.1   Sometimes the Accuphase C-200 preamp is switched to the  B&K MC10 Pro. Also for fun i use the Futterman H3a to drive the Nines. I am currently in process restoring two other pairs of the Nines to have operating concurrently a total of  3 pairs. I love playing around with this stuff as you can well imagine ! I think the Nines and zA2.1 combo are better sounding than the SoundLab A-3s
