Description

This is my simple music system. It's been through many upgrades/changes, but I'm finally slowing down, and finally enjoying the music. I got into DIY audio a while back and it really got me to where I want to be. Although my diy amp and hp amp are in a second system, the rest speakers, rack and some cables are still in use.

On a side note I used to be a power cable naysayer, until I made the bob crumps cord to replace the stock ones, and heard what I was missing! I didn't see the full advantage until I added a ps audio sc premier cable to the quintet.

I know what you mean about SEAS. I have the smaller DIY-SEAS Froy mk3 built as a floorstander instead of a monitor and it is amazing.

I definitely sympathize with the living space constraints. If your speakers are spiked, you might consider Herbie's "sliders," which facilitate moving the speakers around -- and into optimal position for listening. Not sure if they'd work on carpet, but I bet they would (at least on short carpet). J

Thanks, I have experimented moving my speakers out, and it's made a tremendous improvement. Extremely inconvenient right now, as it blocks a passageway.

Cool, all the nice DIY stuff. Have you fooled around with speaker placement at all? Wondering if they'd like to be into room more, and a possibly a bit clearer of the AV rack.

I really like your DIY rack! I am in the process of building one very similar and will have pics shortly. Nice Job!
