I thought it was completed but I just added an SS amp.
Now I have a full tube, full SS, a tube-SS, and an SS-tube combination.

Klyne vs. NAT? NAT is slightly more dynamic, Klyne slightly warmer (yes, Klyne is warmer). Both are very detailed and musical. They sound amazingly similar but I slightly prefer Klyne.
Lectron has a web site and it seems it's been updated recently: http://www.jeanmaurerhifi.ch/nos-produits-lectron/
Thank you both for your nice words.

The most elegant and serene music listening environment I have ever seen. Wonderful, well balanced choice of equipment also, especially the Lectron. They seem to be unavailable now? I can't find a link on the internet. Do you prefer the NAT over the Klyne?

I don't know how I missed this system. Excellent in everyway, congrats

Since I've completed this room, I've been quite asocial!
This winter is long and cold but the music is warm.
Thank you all for your fine comments.

Beautiful room and fine gear. Having that lake view in the background is icing on the cake!

pdreher

Nice room and nice gear and good placement. I had a 18 foot height room with all glass on one side overlooking our swimming pool (in the days we lived in warmer climate). Placing the speakers facing away from the glass was the only ticket. I still see systems where the glass is all on one side and I try to politely warn these folks that they need to change placement - so it is really encouraging to see someone as savvy as yourself who seems to have done al the right things. (Of course if you listen with an open ears and an open mind I think the placement solutions become obvious)

Well done!

Nice setup and room.
From the photos looks like you've got some long cable runs to make. Big fan of the Morch!

Wow! Thanks, guys.
When I designed the room (house), my intention was to try to achieve both good looks and a good sound. I was worried about this much glass behind the speakers, but the view of the lake was just too tempting. Initially, there was an overwhelming amount of the high frequencies and a lack of bass, but with careful speaker, seat, and rug positioning, and acoustic panels on the other 3 walls, I got the sound I wanted. Then, I purchased the sofa, and it placed my ears slightly below the tweeter level. This made it all sound really good.
I don't have any corner treatments but at this seat location, the frequency response is amazingly flat. After so much reading I had done about the room treatments and the optimal room dimensions, this came as a major surprise to me.
I listen to Minnesota Public Radio a lot and every time my wife comes in, she comments about how beautiful the instrumental colors are.
Yes, these Pro Ac's sing with the tubes... and yes, it is very relaxing that I can see the lake at the same time.
Thank you again for your positive words.

Another example that good audio and good design can coexist.

The heck with the Ikea racks, Proacs and tubes in a well thoughtout room must sing. You will enjoy your equiptment for years to come.

surfgod

Very cool listening room.

The Ikea shelving looks great and sturdy for the money.

Enjoy!

Wow! Very nicely done. I can only imagine the view behind those Proac's. I'm sure it really relaxes you into the music.

You've given me something to add to my to-do list! Very Nice!!!

I actually play that guitar along with my Miles Davis and Led Zep records. I just love music, playing, listing to my system, and going to see live bands and the Seattle symphony.

Thank you, Scott.
Jeff, do you play that guitar or is it there just for show?

Hi, beautiful system and room!

Beautiful listening room! Nice use of the best looking Ikea furniture, I use the same rack for my records. Enjoy!

Timrhu,
Thank you for your kind words.
Mapleshade wires are so thin, they are almost invisible.
I am afraid I could step on them and break them so I hid them under the rug.
My first encounter with high end was in the form of Response 3, VAC Renessaince amp, Klimo pre-amp, and Wadia. This was the most seductive system I have ever heard. I still remember the details even though this happened 15 years ago.

lateguestsnomore

What a beautiful listening room! Throughout the years one of the best sounding systems I've heard was Proac 3.8s driven by Cary tube electronics, source and amp. One question though; where are the speaker wires? They are invisible in the pics.
