Description

This system affordably combines the delicate magic of Audio Note's tube cd player, preamp and 17w/channel power amp(the beauty)with highly efficient Klipsch speakers(the 'beast') that can actually generate convincing sound from very few watts. Harmonic Technology provides sound advantages acknowledged even by cable and interconnect skeptics as being worthy. A nice alternative to massive amps and difficult speaker loads.

I just remembered one time with another audiofile buddy of mines who had the ALTEC Voice of the Theater speakers and like the Klipschs, they only need very little power we hooked up a 5 watt EL-84 based tube amp and the speakers roared.I can imagine how these speakers would sound with just 5 watts of tube power. Then we had this old 14 watt BOGEN intergrated amp hooked up to the speakers and they sounded wonderful.ENJOY...

Awesome title for the system. Beauty and the Beast is the perfect desciption. The LaScala's have to be Klipsch's most monstrous looking speakers. the Kornerhorns were bigger, but I always thought the laScalas looked and sounded more aggressive. I say agressive because most of the original owners of LaScala's seem to have had SAE or Carver pushing 400 watts of aggressive sound - ouch! The Audio Note's must make these sound absolutely wonderful, and with 17 watts, that's like 16 watts more than you need :)
