Description

Many years of saving and several years of planning helped make this system a reality.  I really enjoy listening to this system!  Accurate and detailed at low volumes, but able to reach high listening levels with ease.  I'm a firm believer in having plenty of headroom.

Balanced interconnects from the Carbon series by Kimber Kable, USB cable from their Carbon series by Audio Quest and Reference 100 speaker cables by Schmitt Custom Audio Cables.

Additional system source includes custom built PC with JCAT USB card and JCAT Network card used for streaming.  Outboard linear power supply runs the cards along with upgraded power supply for quiet running with minimal to zero fan noise.

Ah, so you do have enough ventilation for the rack...nice!
One more question - do you think the JBLs are affected by the bass produced my those massive subwoofers?

Owner
@milpai - Thanks for the comment.  The rack is closed in the back, but there are six by eight inch openings behind each component.  The JBL 4349's are 91 dB and the 18" subs are reasonably efficient as well.

@jmalen123 , @dinov , @jond - Thank you all for the comments.  I'm sorry for the delay in acknowledging your kind words!

Wow...all McIntosh system. I understand the JBLs to be pretty efficient. And it is a very good size room. That Timbernation custom rack is very nice. I believe it is open in the back?

milpai

Your system and room makes me smile from ear to ear. It looks so inviting, and I can imagine the good times that have been had. Mac, horns and good subs always sound good.

Very very nice! I’m a McIntosh fan as well.

dinov

Woah that is some wall of blue and those JBLs look like they could blow your house down! Very cool @jheppe815
