Many people spend thousands on their equipment and never think of the room. Your room is the most important interconnect in your system. Diffusion is the best way to “open up” the sound of a system and improve image width, depth and specificity. For sale are two pairs of 2’ x 4’ AQD diffusers. This gives you two pairs of matched diffusers. One pair can be used between the speakers to create an image without reflections or glare. The second matched pair can be used in the rear of the room or in combination with absorption for first and second reflection points on the sidewalls. Available for a limited time diffusers can be cut 2 x 2 which would consist of four 2x2 matched males and four matched 2x2 female diffusers. The diffusers are made of dense three pound foam. It has taken years to find a consistent supplier for this higher density foam. Diffusers are new and painted Swiss Coffee which is an off white or can be ordered in black. Questions for the seller
in what configuration are the male and female diffusers placed on the wall?
It depends on the room and equipment. If you send us a photo of your room and system we can tell you what will be best for your room. Greg
Are these similar to QRD diffusors? What is the difference between your dense foam and wood? Is the foam porous?
Morning Doctor, Lets try this again. I did respond but apparently didnt go through. QRDs are very similar to our design. Wood and our panels work the same but or panels are very dense but light.Much cheaper to ship.
Are these similar to QRD diffusors? What is the difference between your dense foam and wood? Is the foam porous?
The QRD diffusers are similar to our design. Our product is very dense but very light. Wood is also a great diffuser material but heavy.
what's used to attach them to the wall?
Good question, but will depend on our application. Here are a few examples submitted to us from audiophiles. We can provide vinyl corner bead. Our corners used to protect our corners have been used. Velcro, double sided tape are used. Siliconized silicone, or stronger adhesives especially if mounted on the ceiling. Take a thin sheet of Masonite glue it to the back of the panels, drill one hole and all you need is one nail to install. Place in a frame with a one inch gap between the diffuser and the wall. Any more questions please let me know. Greg
