This listing is for a matching Accuphase C-200 preamp and P-300 power amp, listed together because we really don't want to split them up. Priced at $3800 plus $100 domestic shipping.

These, in my opinion, are basically Japanese McIntosh from the 70's, internally similar, hand wired, big meters, very high quality. Must see the pictures of the insides. We are a McIntosh dealer and service center and replaced a speaker relay in the amp, nothing else was needed. We cleaned the units inside and out, Spray cleaned all the controls and switches in both units, then tested on the bench. All bulbs function correctly.
From an estate sale, no rebuild history came with it, but at 47 years old some one recapped it at some point or it wouldn't play by now.
    C-200
Utilization of direct-coupled, push-pull drivers in all stages of the Accuphase C-200 has vastly improved the characteristics preceding negative feedback application. This has resulted in an equalizer circuit with outstanding fidelity and stability.
Employment of complementary - symmetry, Class A amplifiers in the last stage of the equalizer circuit which utilize rugged power transistors and are fed by symmetrical dual (positive and negative) power supply systems ensures wide range input handling capability up to 400mV rms at 1 kHz with less than 0.05% distortion.
The C-200 stereo control amplifier is equipped with a disc low enhance switch which accentuates rich bass tones that add to music enjoyment. This switch offers 0, +0.5 and +1 dB change against the RIAA characteristic curve at 100 Hz.
Output voltage of cartridges vary depending upon the manufacturer. Disc level controls are provided to unify the levels of Disc 1 and Disc 2 quickly and easily. Disc 1 has provisions for impedance matching to transformer-coupled moving coil type cartridges. This is achieved with a 3-point impedance matching switch which provides impedance selection of 47, 30 or 20 K ohms.
Turntable motor and tone arm resonance vibrations outside the audible range can still mar sound reproduction by causing intermodulation distortion in the hearing range. The C-200 stereo control amplifier is equipped with a subsonic filter which eliminates such low frequency vibrations below 25 Hz.
A directly coupled, special amplifier for exclusive headphone use is provided to ensure highest fidelity for private listening through stereophones.
Regardless of the signals handled, the power supply delivers constantly regulated, non-fluctuating voltages. Even against normal AC line voltage fluctuations, this power supply is capable of delivering very stable DC output voltages.
Bass and treble tone controls, both provided with 10-step selection, plus a further choice of two turnover frequencies for both, permit selection of practically any tone variation. This switch permits instantaneous comparison of any tone adjustment against a truly flat response characteristic.
The C-200 has a total of 10 inputs and 7 outputs terminal systems which make it easily adaptable to a wide variety of program sources in almost any conceivable type of installation.
A total of three tape recorders can be connected simultaneously. Copying from one tape recorder to another is possible even while listening simultaneously to another program source. This is achieved by a separate tape copying switch that is independent of the tape monitor switch.

     P-300 Amplifier
Accuphase made the P-300 from 1973 to 1976.  It was their very first power amplifier. The Kensuga brothers, who worked for Kenwood before starting Accuphase, founded Accuphase on the principle of building audio components that sounded musical.
The P-300 puts out 150 watts into 8 ohms and 200 watts in 4 ohms using a direct-coupled complementary symmetrical circuit topology for every stage from input to output. Its power supply is spec'ed to produce up to 400 watts of peak power into a 4-ohm load without strain.
The P-300 also has a sophisticated speaker protection circuit that engages when it senses a short circuit. This speaker protection circuit also runs a diagnostic when the amplifier is first turned on, so if the circuit senses an impedance load below 1.2 ohms it will immediately turn off the amplifier. According to Accuphase product literature the P-300 also has "closely selected parts" which translates as no electrolytic capacitors with metal film caps used even outside the direct signal path.
The P-300 has several ergonomic features that make it ideal for a desktop system. Its front panel has individual volume level adjustments for each channel. In addition to a pair of stereo inputs on the back of the amplifier, it has an additional set of inputs on the front behind a spring-loaded panel. With its two inputs and volume adjustment knobs the P-300 can function as an integrated amplifier, so you don't need to use a preamp in the system.
The P-300 also has provisions for three sets of speakers (one of which can be used to drive the high-level inputs of a subwoofer), as well as headphones. It has two large back lit power level meters with buttons for three separate meter ranges, a three position output power control with full, 50% and 25% settings, an ultrasonic filter that rolls off the bass below 17Hz at 18dB per octave, and finally a switch to select the front or rear inputs.
