Usher CP-6311

USHER CP-6311 Hi Fi Floorstanding Tower Speakers in Excellent condition. I have owned these speakers for 10 years in my primary listening room, driven by a Prima Luna tube amplifier in a clean, smoke free and pet free environment. They are BRILLIANT speakers that far out-perform their initial $2500 price-point. I only recently replaced them with a pair of Sonus Faber's at 6x the price and in some ways still miss these speakers! 8ohm power rating, 7" woofer, amazing crossovers, and unreal build quality. 

Functionally perfect speakers with one dent on the cabinet corner as shown in the picture. 

The speakers are a beautiful color combination of metallic off-white, automotive grade paint finishing with Italian walnut accents finished perfectly in a matte lacquer along with custom-made brass screw hardware. They include very hefty cast-iron bases with machined brass adjustable isolation spikes. The cloth grilles are included in a light grey fabric with a small hole in one and small stain in the other. Includes original Usher Documentation as well. The tweeter and woofer are Usher's own proprietary design and manufacture and are remarkably FAST and accurate with a warm but very detailed tweeter sound. The unique angle of the speakers aids in time alignment that helps the tweeter and woofer to integrate cohesively. They are bi-amp capable and will really react well to being given high power amplification. There is a removable panel on the back that allows you to add additional weight (lead pellets or sand if desired) for additional bass response, although I didn't feel this was necessary in my application. These are basically $6k speakers sold for around $2500 and an even better value now. 

If you are in the market for a step-up from your typical Polk, Definitive, Boston Acoustics, Sonus Faber, B&W, or Martin Logan speakers, and want a fast, accurate and overwhelmingly natural speaker, this deserves a close look. I also have the Usher Audio SW 103 10" powered subwoofer for sale in a separate listing that is voice and color matched with these speakers to make an incredible front soundstage. Note that I did not find the subwoofer necessary for music with these towers but I did love it for home theater purposes. 

LOCAL PICKUP ONLY from Los Angeles area (Hollywood) as these speakers are very solidly built and very heavy (~70 lbs each) and would require costly custom packaging.  Let me know if you have any questions.
