Offered for sale is a pair of very clean Audio Research Classic 120 tube monoblocks amplifiers. They work perfectly and sound great. They are connected to my interface to my computer and effortlessly power a pair of Soundwave Soliloquy 4' tall towers. The sound is awesome! Face plate, top and sides are near mint. A few very minor nicks in the rear. Serial numbers: 11149005 and 11149006. Local pickup only! I shall demo and help load them in your car.

| Many may be afraid of older gear like this but I have owned a pair for 3 years. They are built like a tank and I have about 5000 hours on my current set of 6550s that still sound amazing. I believe it is in their design and the mode the tube are operating under....they are not stressed in producing 110 watts from 8 output tubes per amp. Those 110 watts are more dynamic and louder than 750 watts I got from running two Parasound amps in mono by comparison....seriously!!!! I am not getting commission here, just passionate about my CL120s : ) I appreciate the input. May i correct: According to ARCDB, they are 110 watts minimum continuous at 16 ohms from 20Hz to 20kHz. Truly amazing! |
