Dahlquist CA-1 /W-2

Dahlquist Coherent Array Loudspeakers

Nice pair of rare Dahlquist Prelude System speakers. Great design and incredible sound. Each speaker consists of a CA-1 mid and

tweeter unit and W-2 woofer module.

These are very heavy at about 75 lbs each 2 part speaker. These originally sold for around $2000 for the pair.These are

phenomenal sounding speakers. I have driven them with McIntosh, Phillips, SAE and Nakamichi amplifiers,  They are happy with

100 watts, but of course 200 is always better. Pushing them, your ears distort before the speakers do. They render both Pink Floyd

or Beethoven with depth and ease.

They are very clean, a few very minor scuffs. One 5-way post has been replaced. Grills are perfect. Fininished in Black.

The CA-1 has a 6" midrange speaker and a 1' tweeter. The W-2 has a pair of 10" woofers.
As you can see from the rear pictures, the signal comes in through the W-2, a high pass filter sends the higher frequencies into the

CA-1, which has it''s own crossover.  They can be driven by a single amp, single speaker wires, or bi-wired OR bi-amp, with several

crossover frequencies to choose from. *

approximately 42” tall x 15” deep x 9.5” wide   Each side weighs in around 75 lbs.  (CA1 + W-2)
Frequency response is 30 Hz-20KHz.   Copy of manual included.
