Very rare and desirable in the US, Lavardin is an esteemed French Audio Manufacturer.

In HiFi+magazine, Roy Gregory concluded his review of this pairing by writing, "The bottom line here is that the Lavardin electronics produce more music, more coherently and consistently than any other amplifiers I've had at home. They also represent the first serious challenge to the Jadis in something like ten years. They are effortlessly un-fussy, and if anything, sound rather understated. If you want spectacle and fireworks, or a comfort zone, look elsewhere. But if you value the natural presentation of the widest possible range of music, they should be top of your list."

I've listened to lots audio, and I will say without reservation that this is by far the best sounding solid state amps and preamp that I have ever owned. It makes me reluctant to hook up my tube gear again. Runs as cool as a cucumber.
