This is Trafomatic's premier production headphone amplifier.  It is using the 811.10 as an output tube.  The best tube for driving today's reference headphones.  Do you have a Susvara? an Abyss?...this amp was voiced with the most difficult loads down to the easiest...it is dead quiet using 103db sens headphones and has been more than once called the best amp made for the previous two headphones...difficult load, not here.  Trafomatic has been a specialty transformer winder for over 25 years and making their own amps for 15.  They are one of the few companies who could wind transformers for Eimac type amplifiers, and one of the few capable of making this headphone amp.  The 811.10 was the original tube David Berning used in his legendary Siegfried amp, and it is also Sasa Cokic's favorite output tube and the perfect one for amps at this power rating.  
The owner of this unit has decided to undertake a custom Trafomatic headphone amp which is a multi chassis affair that takes 9 months to build surpasses even the Primavera.  Still for any semblance of normalcy, this is the amp you want to drive any planar or traditional headphone.
