About Matthew Bond: Matthew Bond is the founder of TARA Labs with over 40 years as the designer of the world's most reviewed audio cables. Matthew Bond started TARA Labs in Sydney, Australia in 1986. He began by experimenting with different types of conductors and dielectric materials. In 1988, the cable industry was changed forever because of the Stereophile review in July of that year. The Phase II speaker cable beat out all of the competitors' cable products and at a fraction of their prices.

For the past 40 years Matthew Bond has been known throughout the world for creating the very best in high-end audio cables.

The sound. A very neutral, and revealing reproduction of the live musical event. The bass frequencies have authority and power. The mid-range frequencies are neutral and lifelike. High frequencies are extended and silky smooth. Soundstage dimensions and front to back depth are spacious and expansive. Images are well focused, palpable and lifelike.

The design. A pair of cryogenically treated, soft annealed, 8 nines pure, copper conductors are helixed by hand around a Teflon air-tube. The air-tube separates the conductors spaced apart about 8mm to reduce the capacitance down to 9 pico-Farads per foot. Much lower than other brands at $1,500 or beyond. The Air Dragon creates a high frequency extension that is not heard in other cables.

All technology in the Air Dragon Interconnect is original. The design concepts, design work and inventions are the result of 40 years of my ongoing research, original design concepts and proven engineering.

Solid Core conductors, Rectangular Solid Core and Air-Tubes originated with me in the mid 1970’s and early 1980’s.

The Air Dragon and Dragon Series cables are hand made in the USA by Matthew Bond.
