Quad ESL-988 Electrostatic Speakers, Serviced/Guaranteed by Sheldon Stokes, Available for Demo

Selling a pair of Quad ESL-988 electrostatic speakers. These speakers have been fully restored by Sheldon Stokes at SDS Audio Labs in Grantham, NH in 2017. Sheldon is the de facto ESL expert in the US and did an amazing job bringing these speakers back to pristine condition physically and acoustically.  Sheldon will stand by his work and warranty these speakers for the new owner for a time of 1 year from this purchase.  I have email evidence to this, and you are welcome to call Sheldon to ask him yourself.

These speakers need some room to breathe. They are true full-bandwidth, di-pole, 4-panel electrostatics. The image they create is absolutely phenomenal. 6-8 feet from a back wall, and relatively nearfield 8-10 foot listening position relative the speaker, a slight can't upward, and everything is placed exactly where it needs to be in space. "Unsuffer Me" by Charles Lloyd and the Marvels brings chills.

If you have been looking for an electrostatic experience that needs nothing to sound amazing, these are an excellent choice.
Qualifying these as an 8/10 because they are used. But they really should be considered 9/10 with the 1 year guarantee from SDS.
