Purchased in May 2018, these are glossy black and in excellent condition. They were sitting on bookshelves until late last year when we moved from our home. Sadly, I can't use them in my new home. I don't have any of the original packing materials - will pack and ship very carefully or can be picked up if you are in NY/NJ/CT tri state area.
