Bob Carver Amazing Line Source Speakers

After a demo at RMAF, I could not stop thinking about the magic I heard from these spooky good speakers. I could not afford to buy them new and waited for about 8 months before a  pair of these speaker came up on Audiogon. 
   
They were developed as a project after Bob Carver sold him company, Sunfire, and retired. He wanted to create a legacy piece as his finest of many contributions to the audio industry. The critics believed he succeeded. I totally agree.

These were purchased as demos from an authorized dealer. Two of the 36 drivers were damaged in shipping. The factory recommended user-replacement and sent new drivers which I installed with Cardas eutectic solder. I rated them 7 because of this and lowered the price to take this into account. The repair is not visible from the outside of the speaker of course. There are surface smudges as normal for an "8" rated speaker, no prominent scratches, no dings or dents but they are priced as "7" which should cover any minor issues in shipping. The photos of the crossover boxes shows some lint on it.  
 
They are being sold without the sub as I upgraded to a REL 212SE sub at time of purchase. The REL sub is available separately if desired. Actually shipping will be much higher than I have listed and I will absorb the additional cost.
