I've sold my VPI Classic turntable due to an upgrade.  This Paua was purchased new and mounted and aligned by the professionals at the local high-end shop.  It's already been back to Soundsmith for a rebuild so it should be good to go for a long time.  I don't have a number for the hours on it, but we can probably think in the 150 range. Every record it played was ultrasonically cleaned first.

Questions for the seller
Hello, May I ask, how old is the cartridge and how long since the rebuild.
I bought it in 2018 when I sent my phono stage in for upgrade- did the cart the same time. It failed early - the Soundsmith guy had questions that made me wonder about how it was treated before it got to me. So on early 2019 it was completely rebuilt by Soundsmith. I can’t give you specific hours but it was not heavily used. Always on VPI, smoke free and 99.9% my hand on the tonearm.
Hello, I cuurently have a Lyra Delos on an original VPI Aries 1 with platter upgrade, flywheel and sds. For a while I have been very curious about trying a a Soundsmith cart and saw your ad. I would be interested and I was wondering if you might have any thoughts about the pairing and maybe even if you have thoughts about the Paua MI vs Delos MC. Also, would be very interested in knowing what you upgraded to and what cart you are planning to use now. Many thx in advance!
Hello Pierluigi - I upgraded from a Dynavector 105 - my analog expert had me consider the Lyra but he strongly recommended the Soundsmith Paua. Not only was it a better start, he said, but it has a great 'reconfigure' path. I had early trouble with it, sent it to Soundsmith and they basically redid the whole thing under warranty, so it's even newer than the purchase age. I spin vinyl a few times a week, for one or two albums at a time, so this is gently used. My guy says it's in great shape. I bought a new Linn LP12 so I'm using the cartridge that comes in that package.
