Selling my beloved VR-2s - replaced with Acoustats.
And while the Acoustats produces a bigger sound stage that is needed in my room, the VR-2s still hold their weight in terms of detail and accuracy which is what the designer had in mind. For example, there is a rear-firing tweeter with a volume control to simulate and tune the open air dipole effect.
For the price, if you are assembling a starter audiophile system, please look at these as they are probably more capable than a $2K amp can deliver, but will work great with amps < 1K
I have had them since 2015 and bought them used. They are in great condition except for the underside of one of the stands that face the floor (Please see picture below. )
There are numerous reviews on this, so please search the web for more information.
Local pick up only in Chicago/Illinois. They are filled with sand and are quite heavy.

Yes, the sand comes out of a plug in the bottom. You might as well come out here to Geneva, IL. I can comp you for the gas!
