CAT Sequoia's (1 pair). I was a CAT dealer for 12 years and was recently bought out after 25 years owning the company. I had these on display in a two channel room. I have the rest of the amps and front end gear for a package deal for all of it (Theta, Symmetrix, Torus). These speakers are 7 feet tall and weigh 1050 pounds each. They are an incredible speaker.

| How is the imagining on low level of listening-detail? Phenomenal I attribute that because of the curvature of the cones and the amount of power I have on them. My old company did two jobs with these where we used the bigger 1200 amps and the imaging didn't improve, but the sheer volume did. I have never found anything that this set up does bad in 15 years of selling them.. |
| Awesome looking speakers
Can you shed more light on the technology that make them great. Why is this speaker so great? Is it sond staging, neutrality etc? Thank you. Yes, they are definitely an impressive looking speaker. Probably the staging is what separates these speakers from the others. There is a ton of curvature on the mid cones and the phase plug is the exact opposite of it, which makes them image so well. And they will take a TON of horsepower too, so the more you feed them the better they will sound. And with the size and weight that they are, they can get downright violent in loudness/decibels. I would use them for watching movies too, and it's crazy the detail you hear in a movie. That's one of the main things that CAT is known for, in that they will do both two channel and cinema exceptionally well. If you have any more questions please let me know. |
