Thiel Audio was started by three college friends in a garage in 1976, because apparently the mid-1970s were a big time for college kids starting electronics companies in their garages, which becomes glaringly apparent when you write enough of these synopses ... but I digress. Anyway, Thiel speakers are now Thiel in name only, but Thiel loudspeakers from back in the day are still desired. The popular Thiel CS2 speaker went through several generations between its 1982 introduction and its final incarnation 30 years later.
